Chapter 3

Ok so here is the schedule for the week.


Monday andd Tuesday they will be completing the Chapter 3 Overview.

Wednesday we will be taking notes.

Thursday and Friday we will be doing a computer project.

This is not a good week to miss class!

Tuesdays News

Ok so first I want to say thank you for the 10 sets of parents that showed up last night. Thats right people 10 out of 120 students were represented at back to school night. Quite the impressive turn out! (Sarcasm!)

OK so on to the real news the schedule.

Tuesday- Today we are working on the second part of the review sheet

Wednesday- I will answer any questions on the review, we will have a short quiz, and begin the test review. Busy busy day for sure.

Thursday- We will be completing the test review and doing a review activity for the test.

Friday- Test day. Also you will be turning in The Review sheet (both sides completed) and the test review.

Week 5

Ok another beautiful weekend here in Central Virginia and now we are back to the grindstone.

Monday- Biochem notes (last bit of notes for this Chapter)
Tuesday- Review Sheet Part 2
Wednesday- Test Review
Thursday- Review activity for the test
Friday- Chapter 2 Test

Today Chapter 2 Overview is due.

I am also allowing most of the time in class to be used to finish the first review sheet as notes took a few days longer than I had anticipated. So Tomorrow will be notes and Monday will be working on the review sheet.

Here it is Monday and we have made it to the first set of interim reports and through our first test.

The pace is really going to pick up and I would advise not to miss the class if at all possible!!!

Ok so today we are finishing the online lab. I hope you found it to be as cool as I did!

Tomorrow (Thursday) we will be turning in 3 items:
1) Chapter 1 Overview
2) Experimental Design Worksheet (4 scenarios A B C D)
3) Chapter 1 Test Review

These are all check grades so dont blow it!!!!

Also we have our first and easiest test of the year so make sure you do well!!!

PARENTS EXPECT PROGRESS REPORTS HOME MONDAY VIA EMAIL IF YOU GAVE IT TO ME OR PRINTED OUT IF YOU DIDNT!!

Ahhhhh Its Monday!

OK so a new fresh week. Here is the schedule:


Today: we will be finishing the microscope lab from Friday. I will collect these today so after tomorrow they are late!

Tuesday: We will complete an online gel electrophoresis lab. The website that we will be using is http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/units/biotech/gel/

Wednesday: We will have our test review and you will be given a chance to complete any work you may be behind with!

Thursday: Will be Chapter 1 Test. This isnt a difficult test if you actually DO the test review.

Friday: We will be begining Chapter 2 Overview.

Dont forget also that by the end of the week we will almost be to the first round of progress reports. Parents, expect them to be printed or emailed by next Monday the 15th!

Im a slacker!!!

OK trying to adjust to this new schedule (aka having a first period) has thrown me. Hopefully from here on out I will stay up to date. So far this short week we:

Tuesday- We started taking Chapter 1 notes
Wednesday- We did a few notes and the Is it Alive Worksheet
Thursday- We took a few notes and did the Experimental Design Activity
Friday- We started the Microscope Lab
